Anyone who follows YA fiction has been exposed to the movements of the fast-acting and ubiquitous Trilogy Virus. Books that would have happily lived out their existences as stand-alone novels  ten years ago are now born lending their titles to the sentence, “Book One of the XYZ Trilogy.” The recent advent of the Trilogy Virus has created some level of debate within the Young Adult reading community.
